Piet Mouton
Piet is the chief executive officer of PSG Group. He serves as a non-executive director on the boards of various PSG Group companies including Capitec Bank, Paladin Capital and Thembeka Capital Limited, a black-owned and controlled Black Economic Empowerment investment holding company. He has been active in the investment and financial services industry since 1999.
Nico de Waal
Nico holds a B.Eng (Mech) (Cum Laude) degree from the University of Stellenbosch, as well as an MBA from IESE Business School of the University of Navarre (Spain). Nico started his career as an engineer with Baker Hughes Inc. (USA) in Scotland and the Middle East in the oil and gas exploration industry (1998 – 2000). He then specialized in strategy and operations work as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. (2001 – 2007), and also at SAB Miller (2008 – 2010). He recently transitioned to the Private Equity sector when he joined Paladin in 2011.
Bernardt van der Linde
Bernardt is a qualified chartered accountant and a CFA Charterholder. He completed his articles and remained as manager in the Financial Services (Banking) division of PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. until 2005. Thereafter he joined Finweek as writer and Head of Companies and Markets. Bernardt joined PSG Group in 2007 where he has, inter alia, been part of the executive team at Paladin. Bernardt is or has been a non-executive director on the boards of various PSG Group and Paladin investment companies and currently serves as the financial director of Curro Holdings Limited.
Gerrit van Deventer
Gerrit is qualified chartered accountant. He completed his articles at Price Waterhouse in 1997 after which he was seconded to Southampton, United Kingdom (1998 – 2000) and subsequently to London (2000 – 2002). He transitioned to commerce and industry joining one of his clients in 2002. Gerrit relocated back to South Africa in 2005 and after having worked as a contract based financial manager in the financial services industry, he joined PSG Group in 2006. Gerrit currently serves the financial manager of Paladin and is a director on the boards of various Paladin subsidiaries.
Willem Kitshoff
Willem is a qualified chartered accountant. He completed his articles with KPMG in 2009 after which he joined the private sector as a contract base financial consultant in his personal capacity. Willem joined Paladin in the beginning of 2010 as a private equity investments analyst.
